Real Money, Real World Event

the past two days our 8th grade social studies classes have been engaged in a program called Real Money, Real World. This program is designed to provide students with an understanding of personal finance. 

Each student is given a career/job with a salary and a family. Each student is give different profiles to work from. The students then Visit various table that are dedicated to various real life needs (housing. Transportation, utilities, child care, credit, student loans, clothes, cable, Internet, taxes etc….)

It is a great learning experience that it made available through the Ohio State Extennsion, CMS Social Studies Staff, Westfield Companies, JOGGS class, CMS PTO, Cloverleaf Food Service, Brandy Miracle, and CMS Custodial staff.
