Staff Remind Messaging Information for Parents and Students.

Several of our staff members are utilizing Remind as a way to communicate with families and students.  Remind is a one way text from the teacher that is sent right to your phone with class updates.  All that is required of an individual to sign up is to input the correct number to text.  Then in the message section of the text, input the appropriate code.

Opening Day!!!

The 2015-2016 school year is officially underway. Here are some random pictures from around the building.

Building Schedule Reminder

With the first day of school only hours away, I wanted to send out a reminder to students and families of some important times:

7:00 am- Doors to the middle school open for students. Students must remain in cafeteria until the 7:20 am bell. Students will have the opportunity to buy breakfast during this time. 

7:20 am- Bell to release students to their lockers. Students must remain in the locker area and cafeteria.  

7:30 am- Bell to release students to their home room class. 

7:35 am- Tardy bell to begin home room. 

2:35 pm- dismissal bell for the day. 

2:50 pm- all students not participating in a team or group activity must exit the building by this time. 

I look forward to seeing the students bright and early in the morning.  We have an exciting year ahead of us!

CMS Open House a Huge Success!!!!

The families flooded the halls of CMS for open house!  What a great sign to begin the year.  The staff engaged in some wonderful conversations with parents and students. 

The active involvement of parents in their child’s education is a key factor in academic success!!!

Student Schedules available Thursday, August 13-Tuesday, August 18th

7th and 8th grade students can pick-up class schedules beginning Thursday, August 13- Tuesday August 18th at the middle school main office between the hours of 8:00 am-3:00 pm (excluding the weekend).

6th grade students who will be attending the 6th grade orientation on Monday, August 10th at either 1-3 pm or 7-9 pm will receive class schedules at that time.  6th grade students who are unable to attend orientation may pick up their schedules along with 7th and 8th grade students.

6th Grade Orientation Information

6th grade orientation for CMS is Monday, August 10th. There are two sessions for families to choose from. Session 1: 1-3 pm/ Session 2: 7-9 pm. 

The orientation will include:

  • Meeting staff
  • Touring the building
  • Students will receive schedules and locker assignments.  (Students will have the opportunity to practice their locker combinations)
  • Learning student code of conduct 
  • Attendance policy
  • Introduction to Progress Book tools for parents
  • Lunch information
  • Nursing information
