Attention Parents: Due to the high demand for these coupon books the CMS PTO has decided to extend the due date until Friday, October 5th. If your child has decided not to sell there book, please return it on Monday, October 1st so that we may redistribute them to students that are selling the coupon books. Thank you for your support of the Coupon Book Fundraiser.
Thursday, October 18th from 4-8 PM the middle school will be hosting conference night for grades 6-8. The conferences will be student led this Fall. This format provides students the opportunity to reflect on their progress so far this year, establish goals for themselves, identify their level of effort and involvement in the educational process, and talk with parents about areas they need to improve, as well as, areas they are enjoying great success in.
The process that students go through to plan and lead their own conference makes for a very personal and meaningful discussion between the student and the parent. As a parent of two boys myself, I understand how precious your time in the evening is. With that said, the student led conferences are very efficient and concise for families. The conference will not occupy your entire evening. Once your conference time is over you can move on to the other events your family has scheduled for the night.
We are in the final stages of setting up our online schedule. Once that is completed I will share out the online scheduler through my blog for families to signup for a conference time.
The middle school staff is very excited to see all of our families on October 18th!

This Thursday Christopher Milo meet with our 7th and 8th grade students to revisit his 13 Messages. His 13 Messages support a positive building culture for our students and staff. Christopher met with our 6th grade students as a part of our 6th Grade First day to open the year. Christopher will also be present in the building on Friday to continue spreading and reinforcing his 13 Messages with our students and staff.
As a building we are committed to living out the 13 Messages of Milo, through his visitations, signs throughout the building, and the issuing of Milo Cards to students who have exhibited behaviors consistent with the 13 Messages. We always make sure we contact families when a student is recognized with a Milo Card.
I want to promote an environment that is caring and accepting of all students and adults. Christopher Milo’s program reinforces this goal.
