In an effort to educate families on trends we are seeing in our schools, there are two pieces of information below for families. The first is a link to and article about E-Cigarettes.
The second is a one page pamphlet that provides quick facts about JUULs. If you have a difficult time reading the image of the document below I have also provided the link.

Below is an article that provides some ideas for how parents can help their children develop healthy social media habits. Social media use of children is an ongoing concern of parents and schools. As I come across information that can educate families or can support families in this area, I will share it out.

Parents, your child will be bringing home a popcorn sale flyer today. If you choose to help the CMS PTO by raising funds through this popcorn sale, please return the order form with payment to the office by November 28th. Make checks payable to CMS PTO. All orders will be delivered before Christmas Break.
Above is a copy of the order form. Thank you in advance for your support.
A very big Thank You to all the parents that supported the coupon book fundraiser! With your help we were able to meet our goal. Your dedication to our school, staff, and students has not gone unnoticed. Thanks, PTO
Congratulation to the following students. Keep up the good work!
CMS has great things going on everyday with our students and staff that people outside of the building never get to see. I want to invite our community to follow the CMS twitter feed @MadiganCMS to get a glimpse what a school day looks like at CMS.
Bust out those pajamas and comfy clothes, because Student Council is bringing back Cozy & Caring Days!
Last year, as a building, we raised $3524.75 that went directly to 32 of our CMS families. Let’s try to hit $4000 this year!
- Cozy and Caring Days will take place over four Tuesdays in November and December. Those Tuesdays are: 11/20, 11/27, 12/4, and 12/11.
- Staff and students are encouraged to pay a minimum of $1 to wear pajamas/comfy clothes on the aforementioned Tuesdays.
- The money collected over these four Tuesdays will go directly to families in our district that might need a little extra help around the holidays. Kelli has shared out a Google Sheet asking for family names, so please update this accordingly.
Money will be collected by homeroom teachers and should be counted before StuCo kids come around during IE. (Envelopes or collection boxes will be provided).
- For every $5 raised in a HR, that HR will receive a Santa, Christmas tree, etc. to place on their door for everyone in the building to see.
Like last year, we will have a Homeroom competition during this event, which will be based on the highest average per student.
The HR with the highest average per student will be provided with a breakfast buffet (cheesy scrambled eggs, french toast with syrup, bacon and sausage, and milk or juice) courtesy of our kitchen staff.
Second and third place will receive donuts.
If you have questions, please ask. More information will be shared out periodically.

Emerald Key, Cloverleaf Middle School’s honors group, is holding a fundraiser at the Chipotle in Wadsworth on Thursday, November 8th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Chipotle generously donates 33% of the proceeds to our organization. The earnings will be used to help fund Emerald Key events and activities including a field trip, student-led community events, volunteer activities, an Emerald Key banquet, and student awards for honor/merit roll. Bring in the attached flyer, show it on your phone, or tell the cashier you’re supporting the cause to make sure your order is counted.
Important note: Online orders will not be included in the fundraiser total. To ensure your purchase is counted in the fundraiser, order and pay in-restaurant. Gift card purchases during the fundraiser do not count toward total donated sales, but purchases made with an existing gift card will count.
