Counselor Check In Week 12/9/20

Hey Everyone!

Yesterday Ms. Brooks and Mrs. Miracle talked about gratitude with our student during their weekly Wednesday Check In. With the Holidays among us counselors explained what gratitude meant as well as the impact of having an attitude of gratitude. Discovering happiness isn’t just appreciating new things, but also being grateful for what we already have and the good that other people contribute to our lives and in our world.

Gratitude can boost your mood, your school satisfaction, and relationships. Gratitude can also put a positive spin on stressful times by turning them into valuable lessons.

CMS Student Engagement Incentive Begins Monday, December 7th!

Here at CMS we are dedicated to educating students to the best of our ability during these uncertain times. While online, part of our students’ responsibility to their education is to engage in all of their classes everyday!

As we have decided to add an incentive to those students who are engaged in all classes.

Students can earn a weekly “ticket” for engaging in all classes everyday! That means showing up to all of their classes (Including small group times). It is never too late for students to increase their engagement in their classes!

Teachers will enter weekly tickets into a drawing. Winners of the drawing will be chosen at random at the end of the day Friday, December 18th.  Prizes include: An Alexa Echo Dot, JBL Speaker, or a TCL television/monitor.

Students who win a prize will have the prize delivered to their house on Friday Afternoon by CMS staff! Additional images of the prizes are provided below.
